Joe Aribo Missed Two Matches: What Happened?
Soccer champion Joe Aribo has been making waves as midfielder for Rangers Football Club. This Scottish club plays for the Scottish Premier League. A local favourite of Nigeria, he has done a lot to make the country proud at only 24 years old! However, when Rangers went up against Livingston on Sunday 16 August, Aribo was nowhere to be seen. His absence was certainly felt by fans. That match ultimately ended in a 0-0 draw.
According to Rangers manager Steven Gerrard, as reported by Glasgow Times, “He has a little knock. We are hoping to have him available next weekend.” The ankle injury occurred during a training session.
Hopes were high for Aribo’s return for the match against Kilmarnock. The team are currently twelfth in the Scottish Premier League. Unfortunately, he was unable to recover in time and did not join Rangers for their 2-0 win on Matchday 5 of 33.
Rangers are currently ranked first in the Scottish Premier League, which was founded in 2013 under UEFA. This season’s defending champion is Celtic, and so far, they sit in fourth place. There is still plenty of time for rankings to change though as the first phase only concludes in April next year. Do you think Rangers will be able to keep their spot at first place? Will Aribo be able to make the next match? Let us know your thoughts and predictions on social media! [link]
